Loft conversions that take full advantage of your home's potential

Did you realise that, on average, somewhere between a quarter and a third of your home's liveable, usable space is tucked away under the roof? No wonder loft conversions are such an attractive prospect for so many. And what's more, they involve significantly less red tape and upheaval than an extension - plus there's no requirement to consume any of your garden or driveway space.

All you have to do is make a decision about the type of loft conversion to go for... and that's something we'll be more than happy to help you with.

What form will my loft conversion take?

Generally, most conversions come within two categories. There's the typical loft conversion to a bungalow or house which can be converted by adding dormers/roof windows. Then there's the roof conversion, which requires laying a new roof to a higher pitch than the previous one, allowing for greater space and a wider scope for the work you have planned.

From there, you can choose between a dormer or gable loft conversion (complete with uPVC windows) to add more space to your roof space, or the addition of genuine Velux windows (which come with a 10-year guarantee!).

We've got the whole project covered...

Your loft conversion will need stairs, which will be purpose-made to suit your home and requirements. In third-storey conversions we normally match the existing staircase. We can also fit spiral and space-saver stairs.

And when it comes to the plumbing, heating and electrical works, we take care of that in-house, too! All gas work is Gas Safe registered, and all electrical work is Part P compliant.

The schedule of works

A start date will be confirmed in writing well in advance of commencement (weather permitting). Completion for a typical loft conversion can be 4-8 weeks. Completion for a typical roof conversion can be 9-12 weeks.

Any disturbance and mess are kept to a minimum, and your home will be left clean, tidy and safe on a daily basis. You do not have to vacate your home during construction. All work will be carried out by trained and permanent staff.
